Hello nightgown!! This 70s number (and a few more...) came from my gal Joy in St. Louis...
"I don't think I've seen you work with nightgowns before so this box should give you some finds to have some fun with. This wasn't a piece that I wore, however I had my share of these in the 1970s. Maybe a bathing suit cover-up or a camisole? Go to work angel."
I loved that this piece was thick enough that I could get away with making it a dress. There are some sheerer ones that I'll be playing with soon, that will NOT be dress worthy, so I figured I'd take advantage now!
Began with cutting the length!
Once the length was trimmed, I unbuttoned the top of the piece, pinned the edges underneath and added a white camisole. The dangling strings were tied into a pretty bow and my dress was complete for a little meet up with the girls. Got to hang with KS and AR over some dinner...
...and browsed through some boutiques for inspiration.
Saw a fab, fab, fab Betsey Johnson dress that is giving me some Copycatting ideas :) Happy Friday!
