Remake: White Polyester Peplum Dress

It's time for this white, polyester, peplum dress to get made over!

Love the peplum. Don't love the spots.

Don't love any of those spots...

Oh, the spots are everywhere!! There's lots of work to get done!!

I began with some dye. The only way to try to help hide these spots is coating them with some good old dye! I picked a green/blue medley that was polyester friendly...

...and tossed everything into the washing machine. Post-wash, my dress was a gorgeous seafoam green! The super dark spots didn't go anywhere, so I trimmed the bottom portion of the dress short.

There was a fabulously large spot on the peplum, so...

...I began to trim right above it, all the way around.

Honestly, that was all I did to turn that white dress into this...

I am OBSESSED with how the sparkly area turned out. It was a bluish shade that was the perfect complement to the seafoam green.

It's always so cool to see how different fabrics dye!

I paired my new top with a Jenni Kayne skirt and a pair of Old Navy leopard flats...

...and my favorite pair of Forever 21 shades!

There's nothing like some weekend sidewalk dancing.

Even though it's technically fall now...

...it still feels like summer.

Quick dye fix turned chic new top!

Highly obsessed with this look...

Weekend Projects!

This is what we've got on tap for next week!! FIRST - this lovely white, spotted, peplum number that I decided to DYE!! Woo, you'll see the new look post-weekend.

SECOND - I've been suffering from muumuu withdrawal. So, this blue muum is going to get a little facelift!

THIRD - this lovely pinkish blouse/cami combo needs a little tweak. This color needs some changin' because it matches my skin. No bueno.

Chain Link Necklace Giveaway!
