Day 68. 297 days and $293 left to go.

Well good day, frilly collared white polka-dotted red blouse! It's lovely to see you, even though I felt like I was in a circus when I tried you on, and not the cool, acrobatic, contortiony, hanging from a sash, Cirque de Soleil type. Day 68 - Before

Those cuffs were a little too clowny and let's be honest, clowns scare the living daylights outta me. No bueno to Bozo, the clown from Stephen King's It, even Krusty the Clown. That's right, I don't care if you're animated. Big fake red noses, caked on makeup, rainbow haired wigs will give me nightmares for days. Let's just say that my first year on pointe shoes, our recital dance was to "Send in the Clowns," complete with spandexy striped pants, a puffy white top, fingerless diamond printed gloves and balloons that we held. Cue traumatization here.

So, we had to get this as far from clown potential as possible - chop off them sleeves!!!

Snippy snippy!!

Phew...one down and one more to go...

Hello short sleeves!

Woo hoo, the frilly cuffs have disappeared...we're getting further away from that clown car now friends!! Instead of just hemming the cut sleeves, I decided to add a little bit of elasticized lace around the edges that was in my kit of trimmings. I figured this easy addition would give it a little more feminine flair and bring out the white dots a bit, not to mention making me look less like Ronald McDonald.

Day 68 - After

I think I can successfully say that this after product doesn't scream Ringling Bros & Barnum & Bailey anymore! Thank goodness, because you don't even want to know about the time I stayed at Circus Circus in Las Vegas.

Is this a place where you'd want to gamble? Didn't think so...

I mean, if this doesn't frighten you, I don't know what will :)
