Hello friends! The airports have been braved and my travel day is complete. A full post comes tomorrow along with another fun giveaway but in the interim, how about some holiday wardrobe help??
I worked on a piece for Goodwill scoring three separate holiday looks from their racks.
Couldn’t have been happier with what I found! Click on over here to see the entire piece!
I’m looking forward to the treasure trove that is NC to scour for more fun pieces. I think my mom is excited for a shopping buddy! I didn’t check any bags coming here, but I might have to check one going back!!
What have you guys been wearing to your holiday shindigs?? FYI, pictures are always welcome… xo
You guys got a little teaser of today’s remake, yesterday. Oh just wait…there are more pics.
This housecoat had a lot going on.
The mix of patterns, the ric rac, the bow-like pockets.
I loved the color and saw this as a total challenge, so…
…I had to take it home. Those stripes, dots, and ric rac were counting on me.
Oh, I think you’re going to love the piece that I’m currently working on.
There’s some stripes going on, some polka dots going on, and some ric rac going on. It’s a fierce triple threat going on right now!!
Check back later today for the after look!!!
So today’s remake wasn’t originally a “remake” because it was in really great condition…so I thought. I went down to San Diego for the Chargers/Broncos game yesterday and toted this piece along with me to wear. I was in the company of Broncos fans, so I thought I’d cheer along with them in shades of orange. I borrowed a Denver Broncos t-shirt to don and thought this piece would complement it nicely. Who doesn’t love a little orange polka-dot business?
I was so excited to have a little cover up (for cooler temps and sun blockage issues) until I saw these.
HOLES!! There were a few on the back and one big one on the shoulder. I got this piece a few months ago and washed it right away, however I must have just missed these little suckers. Luckily for me, I always come prepared with some needles and thread in the purse. (I know, it’s nuts, however if you ever run into me and are having a wardrobe malfunction, guess who’s gonna get you out of it?? Needles, thread, safety pins, double stick tape…you need it, I got it!) So, I got stitching…
Today’s post is another fun one that I created just for HelloGiggles! The “As Seen on TV” copycat piece comes from “2 Broke Girls” this time around. I remade the fab Chanel necklace that Beth Behrs dons each week, as I’ve been obsessed with that piece since the show began.
With these supplies…
…and just a little elbow grease getting the pearls made and connected…
…I had a brand new necklace that really rivals the original piece!
I think I know what I’m making my mom for the holidays!
PS, keep me posted on any outfits that you adore from your favorite TV characters – I have a lovely list going with lots of your suggestions!
