Week 26: Casey
I’m a lover of stripes – the nautical kind, the ones on zebras, even the ones on TV when a station doesn’t come in – I’m all in, all the time. When this dress popped into my mailbox, I immediately loved because of those fun stripes!

“Hey Mariss – this dress comes to you straight outta my closet. I’ve worn it out – literally and physically. There are even holes to show for it. I figured you could use this in your collection because it seems like the fixes aren’t that intense, but I’m just over it. This dress has had its time with me and needs to move on. It’s super cute as is, fun, 80s-esque, but had a bunch of holes on the seams, like what Casey was mentioning.

I figured I could keep the dress intact and just repair (which is totally a great idea) but I decided to use those holes to my advantage.

I loved this little piece when I opened the package that came from Anna in AZ!!

It was a slight spandexy mix but the best part was the attached black tank and black skirt. I totally had shirts when I was a kid that either had a stitched in faux turtleneck or on a short sleeved piece, it looked like there was a long sleeved shirt underneath, but it was just faux long sleeves sewn to the ends… This totally fit the bill!
NDAD: Christmas Edition!
Happy Holidays!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the week…braving the rains, snows, crowded mall parking lots and flight delays across the country…tis the season, right?
In staying with tradition (ok, well the tradition began last year and will clearly be continuing…) I had to come up with another holiday ensemble for a dollar. This my friends was a buck and was going to be my holiday dress!!
