There were a few things that initially drew me into this piece. The fabric pattern for sure (flowers always make me smile!), the colors, and the BUTTONS!
Here's a little close up to see...
I'm just not going to wear it as is, however with just a few adjustments, this will be a totally seasonal top to wear with my favorite denim mini that cost just one dollar!
First, the cut!!
Next, the pin!
Finally, the sew!
What do you get after these three steps, some sleeves rolling, and some accessories adding??? This...
It's really the perfect outfit for the late afternoon/early evening get-together or friend's birthday celebration. (I couldn't help crafting at the table...ribbon around the card and ribbon around the bday gal's celebratory cocktail!)
The fabric was a super light (and super soft) cotton and even though the sleeves were long (and mostly rolled up), I didn't get too warm in the June sun. This could also work as a fab cover up for the beach too, just because of the airy nature of the fabric. Grab a big floppy had and you're sand bound!!
I rocked my sandals and vintage aviators along with another favorite gold chain in my collection to complete the outfit!
PS, I've been working hard on NDAD-ing my apartment! Can't wait to show some pics and share some tricks soon!!
