Jes sent in this fabulous blue polka dotted dress and it reminded me of a piece I just thrifted myself! I just might take cues from her to get mine in working condish! Check it out…
Last year, my mother-in-law and sister-in-law gave me a sewing machine, and I hadn’t done much with it over the course of 2012. I started running across blogs where the bloggers remade clothing, and it looked super cute! I’ve been wanting to update my shabby and blah wardrobe but didn’t have the spare $krilla, so this was my ticket!
I bought your book several weeks ago and LOVE it. This dress is one that I found at Goodwill for $5.00–I’m a sucker for anything polka-dotted!
First off, I’m obsessed with those socks! (“Black & yellow, black & yellow, black & yellow.”) Second, I’m obsessed with Jes’ pose. Great face – we’re all shocked too, girl! What will Jes do with this polka dotted masterpiece?
I removed some length and the sleeves and that was it!!
It turned out so cute…
…and I can’t wait to wear this on my cruise at the end of January!
I hope you had fun on your cruise, Jes! I love that you’re loving the book and found inspiration in it! Just makes my day to hear. Can’t wait to see your next piece and thank you SO much for sharing!
