Halloween is almost here, so it’s time to get to costuming!!  Who’s still figuring out what they’re going to wear??

Yep, I Went Red!

I decided to change it up a bit and have a fun theme week tied into my favorite red-headed folks!  Get excited – it’s all about putting together some fun DIY costume options while embracing my new look.

      The hair dye at the salon :) I opted to let a professional do this. My track record for this kind of stuff starts with a D and ends in ISASTER!

    Nice shade of red! I am going to try and buy a costume… gasp…. I don’t have the energy to “sew” one by hand, don’t have a sewing machine. (ValueVillage (second hand store) has everything Hallowe’en on sale at 50% off on Oct 38-30… so I go shopping.

      Lucy was my first thought, too. The costume possibilities are practically endless! You could do a group thing, only instead of people each choosing a different character from a movie/whatever, EVERYONE could be a Lucy. Lucy in the candy factory, Lucy in the Vitameatavegimen commercial, etc.

    Every woman should be a redhead at least once in her life! I spent the years from ’92 to ’0something red and loved it, and so did the men in my life. Alas, I finally got too old for it to be believable, but it was great for the years between full color and full gray.

      I was a strawberry-blonde, so yes, reddish. Now I’m full on red!!

    I get at least three comments a day on my red hair, sometimes more if it’s a good hair day :) I have always said any one who says blondes have more fun has never been a red head!

    Did you make sure to do the salt rinse to lock the color in? : ). Bet it looks fabulous, have went red twice (am a natural blonde) and it was fun!

      Ooh, we’re both natural blondies! I went to a professional to do this…I can hardly blow dry my hair, so when I brought up my dye idea, they told me to get it done!

    I LOVE it! Nice color choice and, being a redhead, I of course love the theme. One request…. please PLEASE do not post poison ivy. EVERY PERSON IN THE WORLD says poison ivy for every costume ever for redheads. Anything else!

    I’m really excited to see what you do this week because I’m a natural redhead and still searching around for a Halloween costume. (I’m thinking Amy Pond because her outfits on the show are always impeciable. Especially the one in A Town Called Mercy.) But it will be awesome to see what you do!
