3 Days to Go!

Oct 13, 2012 | 24 Comments

It’s so weird writing 3 next to the book countdown title line!  Each day it gets closer, the crazier it feels!  Aaahhh!!  With 3 days to go, you still have time to pre-order and get hooked up with goodies!  (Click HERE to pre-order!)  I’m feverishly signing my name getting bookplates ready to go!

I’m beginning to get my ensemble prepped for Sunday’s wedding and have two options.  Looking for your advice again, friends!!  Here are the patterns/fabric close up…

Dress Option 2

What do you guys like?  Little background info that might assist with the decision…wedding is in Malibu and in the middle of the day.  Just want to get you in the loop as much as possible!

Thank you all for the input you gave yesterday with dye colors for my white dress.  I’m sorting through all the options and just when I think I know what I’m going to do, my mind changes when I read another comment.  The executive decision will be made tonight!

Also, I’m heading to Crafted at the Port of Los Angeles today to DIY some T-shirts!

Get Crafty!

It’s a super fun, indoor, craft vendor marketplace in San Pedro and we’re going to craft some totes/trick-or-treat bags out of old tees!  I’m so excited to scour all the vendors too…it’s my birthday on Monday and I just might have to treat myself with something awesome and handmade!  Come down and get crafty if you’re in the area!  (Facebook event info here!!)

What’s on your weekend agend

    For a mid-day event, I’d go with B.

  • Paula

    Love B

  • Peggy

I’d go with B, maybe with a splash of A for contrast.

  • Btejkl

Love them both. From the pics, it looks like they would go together. Maybe some kind of use of both?

  • Kathy

Def. go solid for a wedding. I’d pick A. With some killer accessories. Save the print for the baby shower :)

  • Amanda Davis

I’m with Btejkl down there, my first thought was “Combine ‘em!” they totally go together & would be so pretty!

  • ~~Silk

I like B, too, but B is more of a Spring, not Autumn, fabric. For October, A is more appropriate.

  • Eva

A is good also. You will look stunning with thi piece.

  • karenclark508

My vote is “A”. “B” could be a little to Spring-y for October.

  • Heidi

Can you do both? I’d say bodice of B and skirt of A. I’m seeing an empire waist, though not sure why.

  • Graciemh

Go with A. B’s pattern is too “springy”, KarenClark beat me to the posting! If it were fall colors, then B would work. Have a blast at the wedding!

  • Dawn Lowe-Wincentsen

I suggest using a as the primary, then use a strip of b as a sash for accents

  • KitsuneClaws

    I vote for A!!

My vote is A, solid color, the other one is too flowery for a fall wedding… of course you always go against the grain anyways… so whatever you choose, it’ll be just fine!

  • kissem37

I like A, but if it is possible to use a little of B as an accent (like a sash or rosette) I think they would look fantastic together!

  • Tina

The colors look like they go together. Combine them.

  • Forge

I’m totally in the “combine them” camp…. Happy Birthday for Monday, my birthday is Thursday!!

  • Car

Definitely A, B looks like an Easter pattern.

I vote B since it’s outdoors and mid-day. A looks dressier and more formal.

  • Lauraly

I don’t know, but notice how well they go together?! Have fun at the wedding!

  • Dawn

Go for A!!! Not only is the color delicious, but it’ll be amazing against the foliage in Malibu! That color in the sun will be gorgeous!

I have to agree with a vote for A, even though mid-day. I love love love the print in B, but it does sing SPRING.

  • sandra

combine! use the floral material as the contrast.

  • Stephanie

Loving A a teensy bit more than B. But I think they’d match greatly together. Use them both :)
