TGIF!  For me, when I say that, it’s hard not to think of a few certain ABC sitcoms that made my Friday nights when I was a kid…especially Full House!

I mean, I was totally obsessed with DJ Tanner and her crazytown BFF Kimmy Gibbler.  What’s not to like…

And, I also secretly wanted to be in the Motownphilly routine with Stephanie during that dance episode with a weird dream sequence where all the family is wearing white tuxedos with sequined cummerbunds!!  (I love that I remember the outfits from this…)

To tie into the 90s mood I’m in, I decided to take some plain claw clips that I use all the time to keep my hair out of my face – during my washing face time, driving time, pool time – and give them a little glitz!

I took a medley of clear, orange, pink, and lavender stones along with some E6000 glue and toothpicks to get crackin’ on my gems!!

I lined the top of the clip with glue then added a line of clear stones.

…and just kept laying down glue and then more stones until the entire clip was covered!  I did this to both sides and had my claw clip ready for my head!

I pretty much put it to use immediately.  Cetaphil face washing time = get that hair outta my face time!  Live from my bathroom, it’s clip on the head time!

    Oh wow, I loved TGIF!! Full house was the BEST!  I agree, I was super obsessed with DJ, and her pillow pal, and I had to get one of those Teddy Bears like Steph’s Mr.Bear.  So fun.. love the claw clip too!

    omg totally love bedazzled EVERYTHING. Do you know those super cute phone cases and such that girls in Japan have? I am totally getting one for when I get my new smartphone. Plus they always have so much bling dangling from their phones!!
    IDK if you ever went to Elizabeth Mall in Chinatown NYC, but it has so much crafting stuff. Sparkles, glitter everything, rhinestones with adhesive on the back, sheets of sticker paper that has a pattern and texture of leopard/tiger/zebra fur… AAAAH totally gotta craft now haha

    I never have had enough hair to justify those clips. But one can ALWAYS justify rhinestones!

    That is a little high voltage for me, personally. (Not a judgement, just my personal style.) But I am wondering what it would look like done with seed beads maybe. Possibly in a pattern…..And I might do the sparkly stuff for my grandgirl. She would totally love it.

      Seed beads would totally work too – might be a bit trickier because of their smaller size but it would look fabulous!

         Seed beeds could be strung and then glued down in a pattern.  Could start with big rhinestones like you have here and then wind the strings around them …. I think it’s quite doable :o )

    Love the clip! I just did a chop job on my hair {the ridiculous hot weather, and a day at the beach here in SC had me taking shears, and chopping my down to the middle of my back hair to shoulder length} Had to leave enough to still put in clips so I’ll be looking  at the dollar store for clips and rinestones!

    Cute clip. My hair has been up in a pony-tail or bun for the last four weeks because of the heat! In this humidity, my daughter tells me my hair is a fright! Thanks for the reminder of Full House, too. I didn’t see it the first time around but my kids and I enjoyed it in reruns. It was on every night and it was fun to see “DJ,” “Steph,” and “Kimmy” grow up. I love John Stamos and it was fun to see him young, too. Stay cool!

    Great idea, although, I’m not a claw clip person, this does give me ideas for hair bands and barrettes.
