I sewed the waistband and put elastic in, kept the hem the way it was, and I had an outfit ready for date night with my husband!

Hello new fab skirt!

The next day, I decided to make pants for my daughter out of the former sweater sleeves.  I just sewed the u-shape for the rise, and added an elastic waistband like I did for my skirt.  Here she is modeling her new pants.

Jennifer, what a resourceful job you did refashioning one garment into two for your family!  It’s nice to be able to use what you’ve got instead of buying something new that your kids will grow out of quickly!  Woo for an A+ job!

Wow, that is impressive. I never would have thought of turning a sweater in  skirt, or pants. And your baby is just too precious!
