Not sure if y’all remember this dress from last August that my girl Amanda sent my way?  (Refresher HERE!!)

New Dress A Day - DIY - Vintage Dress - Stripes - 109

Day 109 - Before

I cut the piece in half and turned the bottom into a skirt to wear to my pal Lisa’s bridal shower on the water!!

Bottom Half!

A bit nautical, because when in Rome, or on a boat, that’s how I roll!  I was left with the top buttoned part and figured it would make a lovely little diddy for the 4th of July.

I wanted to continue the nautical vibe, so I thought that I’d stencil a little anchor to the front of the top.  Using some duct tape, I began to outline.

Stay inside the lines!!!

Post drying, I’m going to fix the broken buttons as well, but I wanted to give you a little idea of where we’re going for the 4th in case you want to whip something together in time for celebratory activities!

The final look comes tomorrow with some extra July 4th DIY goodies just in time for Wednesday!
