I absolutely fell in love with this piece when I found it.

OK, there were ripped lace sleeves and some of the seam was coming undone up top, but just look at that fabric?! I love the colors and the medley of flowers – this would totally be what I’d pick at the florist.

I saw on your blog that you had a few people who sent in there thrift store revamps and I just wanted to send in mine. I just wanted to say thank you so much for doing what you’ve done on your blog. It has given me the courage to attend sewing lessons and go to thrift stores to revamp things into beautiful creations. I have always thought I hated fashion but in fact, I love fashion…I just hate shopping.
I feel you – the shopping process can be arduous at times, but the fashion aspect totally rules!
I am somewhat curvy and lots of things I like are too much out of my price range but the things that are in my price range just seem plain – and don’t always fit me correctly.

Rebecca sent this piece my way (it was the sister shirt to the purple blouse from Week 24 – Refresher HERE) and I was trying to figure out the best way to work it out.
I was wandering around Goodwill and there they were! I couldn’t think of what to do with them, but I knew someone who would! Good luck! I can’t wait to see what you do with them! I hope you enjoy these…ummm…special pieces!

It’s a mid-calfy mix between a tunic and a muumuu…a tuumuu or a muunic perhaps (thoughts??)…and I’m just not digging the length. I got my scissors in hand ready to go!
175 Days to Go: $1 Remake
This one was a total winner when I found it for a dollar, complete with Velcro down the center (see it up top?) and fabric ties at the neck and waist. I was drawn into this one because of the floral fabric (which feels like a thick canvas-y cotton).

This is gonna make a fun top, but there’s a bit of work to get this into tip top shape!
