Week 17: Eve
Today’s number comes from Eve in SC!
“This spandex/shiny dress needs some help and I think you can doctor it up!! I think one of the Designing Women ladies wore this on the show twenty years ago
Royal blue is one of my favorite colors, so I had to pass it along your way. Enjoy it and keep up the great work!!” Thanks for sending my pre-Christmas ensemble my way Eve!!

Week 17: Eve - Before
This piece was very shiny, very dated, and very blue – the latter is the one element that I’m A-OK with! Time to work this into a top for some laid back Christmas Eve-ing with the family!
Week 17: Ana’s NDAD Creation
Today’s remake comes from a girlfriend of mine, Señorita Ana, who was inspired by the heart stitched gloves I made. I was super excited to get a few pictures sent my way while she’s been at home crafting a few pairs with a girlfriend for holiday gifts.

Gloves!!
The brilliant subject line to the photos…”making it happen. xoxo“ I couldn’t be prouder!!
Week 18: Cathie
I got this lovely dress from Cathie in Flint, MI about a year ago…
“Marisa – Please enjoy this dress I found at a yard sale – it’s a beauty…as is your inspirational blog. Merry Christmas and another happy year of outstanding creativity!!”
The sweetest note to have received and working on this piece a year later, so it ties in with the timing!!

Week 18: Cathie - Before
Week 18: Fabric Bows
So yesterday I finished up some embellished kitchen gloves for my mom (PS, she approved) and today I’m working on the last few gifts for my girlfriends! Sidenote to the gloves – some of you had questioned about the material that was stitched on…I wanted to go with what I had, but feel free to use oil cloth instead, as that’s waterproof. My mom is the neatest dish washer, so the fabric won’t be a issue for her
I was at Forever 21 doing some inspiration shopping (ie. visual purchasing) and came across these…

Bow earrings!
…I loved the fabric bows as studs, and used this as my inspiration for a few nifty gifts!
Week 18: More DIY Gloves!
In working on getting all my gifts done before this weekend and had just a few more to complete. My knit heart gloves were sewn a week ago…

Knit gloves in the corner!
…and I had some other gloves to finish up today, those of the kitchen variety!!

Gloves!!
I scored these two-toned lovelies at the 99 Cent Store, but you can go to your own kitchen for them or any Target or CVS in the area!
