Dye Tutorial Dress!!

I found your blog a few days ago and am reading backwards from the current post! I love it. Now I’ll have to look for clothing for possible alterations at Goodwill. I’m not a very experienced seamstress but I’ll just have to use something inexpensive and just dive in. I’m a big girl so I won’t find clothes several sizes too big to alter but hopefully some old bridesmaids dresses in my size to make a fancy tunic.

I’ve been afraid to dye anything in my building’s communal washer (or at the laundry for that matter). If you wash a second wash with bleach after you dye something does it leave any color reside on the washer parts? I’m always afraid I’ll dye the washer pink! My building rents the washer and dryer and I would hate for anyone to get in trouble because I’m dying in the basement.
